Dassam Falls

The Dassam Falls (also known as Dassam Ghagh) is a waterfall located near Taimara village in Bundu police station of Ranchi district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

The Dassam Falls is a natural cascade across the Kanchi River, a tributary of the Subarnarekha River. The water falls from a height of 44 metres (144 ft).The sound of water echoes all around the place. Dassam Falls at one of the edges of the Ranchi plateau is one of the many scarp falls in the region


Jonha Falls

The Jonha Falls (also called Gautamdhara Falls) is a waterfall located in Ranchi district.

The Jonha Falls is 40 kilometers (25 mi) from Ranchi. It is approachable by both road and train. Jonha Station is just 1.5 km from the fall. For travel by road, one has to take the Ranchi-Purulia Road and after travelling for about 20 miles (32 km) one has to travel about 3 miles (4.8 km) off the main road.

Patratu valley

Patratu valley is one of the best places in Ranchi & very beautiful Location.

Patratu valley a clean n clear zig zag road in S or Z shape with lush greenery and sceneric views of hills across the way. Connects to Patratu village and Dam. Lots of fun activites at patratu lake resort for children like boating, swings, bunzi etc. Great place for nature lovers.

Jagannath Mandir

Jagannath Temple in Ranchi is a 17th-century temple dedicated to Lord Jagannath. It was built by king of Barkagarh Jagannathpur Thakur Ani Nath Shahdeo, in 1691. Completed on December 25, 1691, it is located about 10 km from the main town. The temple is on top of a small hillock.

Birsa Zoological Park

Birsa zoological park is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Jharkhand. It is 28 km from Ranchi railway station. Easily accessible place. Varieties of animals and birds are there in the park. Different types of snakes are also there in the park. There you will see different types of trees and plants. Boating facility is also available. It will take nearly 4hr to travel the entire park. Battery rickshaw is available to make your park travel comfortable. This place is must-go place in Jharkhand.


Tagore Hill

The Tagore Hill also known as Morabadi Hill is situated in Morabadi, Ranchi, Jharkhand. It is around 300 feet high and 4 KM from Albert Ekka Chowk. The hilltop has a long associated history with the revered poet and Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore.

Pahari Mandir

Pahari Mandir is a temple located in a hilltop in Ranchi the capital of Jharkhand. The temple is dedicated to Shiva. This temple is located at 2140 feet above sea level and 350 feet above the ground. To reach the temple one has to climb 468 steps. The entire Ranchi city can be seen from the temple. Lord Shiva is worshiped in linga form in the hill temple. 

Deori Mandir

Dewri Mandir is a mandir situated in Diuri village, Tamar near Ranchi in Jharkhand in India. It is located near the Tata-Ranchi Highway (NH33). The main attraction of this ancient mandir is, 700 year old murti of the Goddess Durga, Kali. 

The murti have 16 hands (Normally Goddess Durga has 8 Hands). It is an ancient Mandir and It was renovated few years back. The ancient mandir was constructed by interlocking stones without using chalk or binding material.This temple is also known as, Mata Dewri Diri in tribal Bhumij Munda languages.

Hundru Falls

The Hundru Falls is a waterfall located in Ranchi district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. It is the 34th highest waterfall in India.It is one of the most famous tourist places in the region.

On the course of the Subarnarekha River, where it falls from a height of 98 metres (322 ft) creating one of the highest water falls in the state.

One has to travel some about 21 kilometres (13 mi) from the main road, Purulia Road.

There is also a shortcut and simple four-lane road from Ranchi via Ormanjhi via Sikidiri to Hundru. From this road the distance is about 39 kilometres (24 mi) which is about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) short from the normal road.

There is also a Suvarna Rekha Hydral Project located down the falls which is also a good place for Tourists.

Kanke Dam

Kanke dam is situated on the base of Gonda hills.It is about 8 kms from Ranchi railway station.It is a nice place for health point of view because I felt here a good weather condition.

Ranchi mental hospital is very near from here.The dam is the main water reservior of Ranchi.Water is supplied from here to entire Ranchi.The dam is well mentained.The surroundings are neat and clean.

Good picnic spot. View was very nice. We have enjoyed our visit. Boating also available. Relaxing environment.
